Keo Sengsavang

Keo Sengsavang, MA, LPCC is the owner and founder of Sengsavang Inc. Keo entered the mental health field in 2010, graduated with his master’s in Adlerian Psychology from Adler Graduate School in 2016, and earned his Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) from the Minnesota Board of Behavioral Health and Therapy in 2021.

After working with the largest mental health providers in the state of Minnesota for the last decade, Keo started his own therapy and consulting practice to focus on developing small business leaders in the immigrant and refugee communities.

Since then, Keo has consulted with more than 50 businesses to deliver long-term success providing mental health services in the home and community, to children, adults, and the elderly, across a variety of different cultures, socio-economic status, and levels of functioning.

Keo’s passion for this comes from his own experience of coming from Laos in the early 1980s as a refugee struggling to assimilate and thrive in American culture while honoring and respecting his own.

Accomplishments:

  • Consulted for crisis management plans with leaders of national organizations to address emergencies such as workplace violence, unexpected deaths, and the COVID-19 pandemic.
  • Provided direct services for First Responders and Law Enforcement after emergency events, including therapy and consulting.
  • Speaking engagements at an accredited graduate school, and training mental health practitioners/professionals, and non-profit organizations.
  • Worked significantly with West & East African, and Southeast Asian Communities in navigating cultural barriers to running a successful business serving refugees and immigrant communities in Minnesota.
  • Launched a successful business during the COVID-19 Pandemic, providing outpatient therapy, consulting, training, recruiting, and staffing small to medium size mental health businesses.
  • Collaborated on a leadership development program with a multi-million-dollar mental health service company.
  • Lead a Substance Abuse Disorder Treatment Family Support program for a national organization for over 3 years.
  • Lead a court-mandated substance abuse reconciliation program for a national organization for over 3 years.
