This training is designed to inform and equip ARMHS professionals and ARMHS practitioners in implementing and writing out the components required in establishing medical necessity using the Functional Assessment and Individual Treatment Plan. Knowledge to be gained: 1) To have knowledge and skill in completing and applying the use of the functional assessment in the ARMHS session; and 2) The “Golden Thread” for documentation and assessment. This training is designed for ARMHS practitioner/professional to gain knowledge of what are co-occurring disorders, treatments available and how to support someone in the role of mental health worker. Knowledge to be Gained:
1) understanding the definition of a co-occurring disorder; 2) rates and prevalence of co-occurring disorder in the US; 3) more common Co-Occurring Disorders; 4) criteria for a substance abuse disorder; 5) treatment options for co-occurring disorders; and 5) what you can do as provider to support someone with a co-occurring disorder. Individual Treatment Plan Writing for ARMHS - Meets criteria for 245i.05.Sub.3.b.4 – Specific Job Functions

The purpose of this course is to teach ARMHS Practitioners one of the critical components of an Individual Treatment Plan (ITP), Goals and objectives, which are derived from information collected during the assessment process. Knowledge to be gained is to define goals and objectives giving you opportunities to practice writing. This will serve as a road map for monitoring desired change for each recipient, thus moving the person forward in their recovery. At the end of the course there is a 5-Question quiz at the end of the training session. This course is intended to meet the 245I requirements.

Responding to Crisis - Meets criteria for 245i.05.Sub.3.b.3 – Emergency Procedures

This training is designed to inform and equip ARMHS professionals/practitioners in learning about the signs and symptoms that precipitate a mental health crisis; how to respond when one occurs, and ongoing supports and resources to help promote mental health and stability. Knowledge to be gained:
1) What is considered a mental health crisis; 2) Signs to notice when a mental health crisis could occur; 3) How to respond to a mental health crisis and when immediate intervention is needed; 4) Resources to use during a mental health crisis; 5) Developing a safety plan; and 6) After the mental health crisis passes, resources to promote stability. At the end of the course, there is a 5-Questions quiz at the end of the training session.
